I've read through a few reviews here and can't understand some things. My experiences are consistently positive. The food is very tasty, self-cooked and no industrial stuff. The prices are reasonable, it's not a fast food place. And that's why there doesn't have to be a schnitzel with french fries! I can only say that I find it very comfortable and the service was very friendly to us. Overall worth a trip in every season.

We were there at noon on Saturday and were surprised how beautiful this hut looks. The food was excellent. Had a pumpkin soup and a goulash soup. With delicious bread. Of course, the food is slightly more expensive, yes it has to be taken into the forest l :). We like to pay more. I can only recommend it.

Lousy service. Not interested in sales even during Corona. We arrived an hour before closing. It sat. The people outside when there was a downpour. Everyone left. It was cleaned up. We asked if we could sit inside as everything inside was empty. This was refused because the landlord was not happy with our dog. These were not strictly prohibited. Service looks different.

Fantastic view and quaint inside. You can rest well here while z. B. enjoy a coffee. The Mett with farmer's bread is very good. The other dishes were unfortunately not convincing.

Expensive and rude staff. Many tables empty but supposedly reserved.

All very nice. Food very good. Unfortunately only a small card. Ambience ok.

Cake always works ... well, not here! Were at the hut at 2:30 p.m., it was said that the waffle batter would not be ready for at least half an hour. It’s really a strange concern to expect coffee and cake at 2:30 p.m. Otherwise a nice corner here, but next time we’ll bring something ourselves ;-)

Closed even though advertising signs in the village invite ... a nice view but nothing to do with entertainment ..

Quaint tavern. Nice destination. Service friendly and brisk. Food neat, but overpriced. The food is on big boards: no schnitzel, no sausage, all dishes that should always be on offer in a local.

We had been back with the family for many years and were looking forward to a delicious meal in the mountain hut. Unfortunately, excessive prices, small portions and underground quality. Some dishes were prepared in the microwave. Unless the tenant changes again, we will no longer be guests.

I was allowed to be a guest here with my brothers and our 5 children. The quaint ambience was very nice and especially a little exciting for the little ones. We felt very friendly and the food was served in a very good and appropriate quality. We would love to come back. For children it would be nice if a few colored pencils and a coloring page could be given to pass the time. Something to match the Devil's Pulpit, maybe.

Very cozy and stylish rustic furniture. Food was super delicious (turnip soup with ham pieces ?? also vegetarian with lettuce seeds ??) Operation nice and very friendly, also flexible and careful due to the necessary Corona measures. The hiking trail from Lindewerra is also a recommendation. We look forward to the next meal at the hut.

The mountain hut and tavern is located directly at the Teufelskanzel. The food is rustic and delicious. The lentil soup tasted like nuts. The hosts are very friendly and talkative. Great location right in the woods ??

Great atmosphere, delicious food, nice staff, despite 1 km uphill - hike ... great destination!

The food is delicious here and the view is stunning.

Food was great. Very friendly service. If (as on this day) the weather fits, the guest has a nice forest beer garden to pause.
